Internet of Things

What’s the “Internet of Things” (IoT) ? A buzzword everyone knows. OK, but what does that mean?

Smart home, smart watch, connected car, smart meter, big data… is that IoT?

Maybe. Probably. Is there any money to be made in IoT? Well, that’s the interesting one. Will you change your bulbs, fridge, TV, or car every 2 year like a smartphone?

Will company without [industrial] IoT be left out?

Who owns IoT? Manufacturers, software developer, operators…?

What about data security and privacy?

And there’s no standardization as such…

Loads of questions. All I know is that many forecasters and analysts predict big revenues… How? When? Where? What?
